- Collaborate with business development and sales teams to provide technical insights and support during the proposal and contract stages?
- Serve as the technical authority and decision-maker for engineering-related activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations?
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop engineering talent to build a high-performing team.
- Act as the primary point of contact for engineering-related discussions with customers, vendors, and partners?
- Drive leverage of the global technical expertise to improve North American business Safety, Longevity, and Profitability for all of the business units. This includes evaluation of hiring global talent to focus on the USA?
- Identify risks and develop solutions for the business?
- Implement and maintain systems that improve business operations safety, longevity and profitability.
- Implement proactive technical monitoring of Operation Projects (across all revenue generating groups) to assure safe, efficient, and effective operations?
- Lead and manage the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence to drive efficient and effective engineering operations?
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as NFPA, ISO, IEC, and OSHA, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction, performance enhancement, and technology upgrades?
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and milestones, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Assure effective technical approval of Vendors and solutions that support the business groups?
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to identify growth opportunities, optimize processes, and improve customer satisfaction?
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Manage engineering resources and allocate them effectively across multiple projects and programs.

- Proficient in engineering software tools, CAD systems, and data analysis platforms.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a focus on results.
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
- Proven track record of leading engineering teams and managing large-scale projects.
- Strong technical expertise in wind turbine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

To help ensure their safety, any employees climbing a wind turbine must use a Personal Fall Arrest System, and may not exceed the system’s maximum weight capacity of 309 lbs. This weight must include the individual, their tooling, uniform, and personal protective equipment. Based on these safety requirements and the standard weight of equipment, employees who climb wind turbines may not exceed a maximum personal body weight of 260 lbs.
- Valid driving license (NON CDL / CDL)
- Must be capable of rescuing team mate anywhere in tower in the event of emergency.
- 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field required).
- The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus because of potential work in close confines.
- Experience with wind turbine design, maintenance, and operations is highly preferred.
- Employee must be physically fit enough to free climb 300 ft multiple times a day while wearing 25+ lbs. of climbing gear and work in extreme weather conditions.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
