What you would be doing

  • Check’s vehicle to ensure it is safe to operate.
  • Greasing equipment before crew starts.
  • Refuels company equipment and vehicles, to include but not limited to: dump trucks, tractor trailers and heavy equipment.
  • Keeps floorboards, stepping areas, and hand holds free of trash, grease, rags or other obstructions that hinder operation.
  • Check’s engine oil, power steering fluid, coolant level, fan belts and windshield wipers.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Adheres to all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, including but not limited to the safety manual, the employee handbook, and the fleet safety manual.
  • Checks tires, headlights, marker lights, stop lights and turn signals.
  • Constantly monitors company radio for change of assignment and dispatch.

  • Day Shift (some night shift/weekend work may be needed to support construction operations.)
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to get along with others.
  • The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, bend and twist at waist, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must adhere to company policy to receive a current Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • This position requires an extreme amount of body movement and some manual labor including, but not limited to leg movement, wrist and arm movement, operating of controls, manual labor, and performing daily maintenance
  • Fuel Truck Driver/Operator with Tanker and HAZMAT Endorsements Required
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful traffic or other situations.
  • Must maintain a valid CDL License

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to work evenings and nights as needed, to support construction operations.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers.
