Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to environmental protection or occupational health and safety
Partner with Safety, Safety Training & Operations teams to schedule or facilitate required employee trainings: New hire orientation, OSHA ETD Quarterly refresher training, Customer required training, Post-incident training as part of a Corrective Action Plan, and Participate in site-specific safety planning.
Provide support to Operations organization for incident case management and documentation steps
Supporting client-specific safety requirements programs and ensure alignment and compliance between client expectations, company rules, and applicable safety regulations
Support company safety committees by assisting in assessment of safety performance trends, implementing process, and tool improvements
Conduct accident/injury investigations including root cause analyses
Participate in project kick off and progress meetings
Coordinate with Operations teams to create site-specific safety plans; actively participate in safety meetings to review job hazard analysis and hazard recognition tools
Coach and mentor project site personnel regarding safety practices and behaviors on an ongoing basis
Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards.
Perform ongoing site visits to observe and document safety behaviors and work conditions to ensure a safety focus throughout all phases of electric construction projects. You will cover Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas. Overnight travel weekly is required.
Follow-up with Operations organization to ensure completion of corrective actions for all accidents and incidents
Conduct proactive behavior-based and quality-focused field safety observations and PPE hazard assessments
