Setup and run laboratory experiments, including the ability to:
Adhere to Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Assurance program on projects
Design/procure test materials and coordinate machining jobs
Inspect, test, repair/troubleshoot, and install equipment
Handle pressurized equipment/gas and chemicals/test solutions (some envirornments will be hazardous, such as H2 and H2S- thorough safety training will be provided).
Support applied research to assess material compatibility and performance in a wide range of simulated operating environments
Analyze test specimens using photography, microscopy, balances, calipers

Prior experience with servo-electric or hydraulic load machines.
High school diploma or higher.
Well-organized and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive environment while interacting with a diverse group of clients and co-workers.
Ability to adhere to specific test procedures.
Completion of pre-employment background and drug screening, along with random drug screening as per Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness and capability to travel up to 5% of the time.
Ability to wear a respirator.
Knowledge of mechanical behavior and properties, such as stress, strain, fracture toughness, stress intensity factor, and R-ratio.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Previous experience in a corrosion testing laboratory.
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs; capacity to routinely push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, etc., while handling such weight.
Proficiency in handling LabVIEW-based data acquisition (DAQ) systems.
Prior involvement as part of a project team.
Mechanical aptitude and hands-on work experience.
Experience working with projects on a fixed budget.
Two (2) years of experience in a laboratory technician role.
Basic understanding of electronics.
