Digital Engineering BIM Manager

Description

• Monitors digital handover to completion.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Provides training on using databases, analysing data, creating templates, conducting assurance, COBie production, and other BIM-related topics.
• Implements governance and assurance processes.
• Collaborates with the Mace PM and Design teams on procedural elements and compliance with the Mace Way.
• Produces Information Requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR and EIR) as per ISO 19650.
• Supports the Delivery Team/s throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensures security protocols have been followed for viewing and issuing of information on all projects.
• Delegates tasks to others in a way that ensures they are completed effectively.
• Responsible for object library development in alignment with wider BIM Strategy.
• Reviews current technology solutions and research new solutions that can be used to improve the BIM process including emerging technologies.
• Develops and maintains an understanding of ISO19650 and any applicable standards for clients.
• Supports Mace Cost team in preparation of cost plans from information models.
• Produces information standards, methods and procedures, and shared resources.
• Participates in industry events to stay up to date on the latest BIM developments.
• Develops BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Upskills the client team, Mace project managers and design team by running BIM knowledge sharing sessions.
• Stays up to date on the latest developments of applicable classifications.
• Leads and supervises, Persuades and influences, Creates and innovates, Presents and communicates.
• Responsible for the Production of the Information Model. (Pre-RIBA Stage 3 only)
• Responsible for the Assurance and Checking of the Information Model.
• Supports construction sequencing strategy using information models.

Requirements

• A good knowledge of data and PBi dashboards production to help support our data reporting plans
• Autodesk Desktop Products.
• Level 6 qualifications (or equivalent) degree apprenticeship, degree with honours - for example bachelor of the arts (BA) hons, bachelor of science (BSc) hons, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, level 6 award, level 6 certificate, level 6 diploma, level 6 NVQ.
• Level 7 qualifications (or equivalent) integrated master’s degree, for example master of engineering (MEng), level 7 award, level 7 certificate, level 7 diploma, level 7 NVQ, master’s degree, for example master of arts (MA), master of science (MSc), postgraduate certificate, postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE).
• Personal Effectiveness, Plans and organises, Collaborates and Networks, Solves Problems, Adapts and responds to change, Delivers results and exceeds clients’ expectations.
• Adobe Products.
• Visualisation Tools.
• GIS Tools.
• Reads, understands and supports the delivery of all Mace process and procedures guides.
• Validation and Verification Tools.
• Understands and performs in line with Information Management Assignment Matrix (from Table A.1 of BS EN ISO 19650-2).
• Intermediate Understanding of ISO19650, BS1192, Common Data Environment (CDE), IFC, COBie, and Classification.
• Autodesk Cloud Products.
• Understand the setup of processes and tools for CDEs.
