Description

The Maintenance Manager position is based in Douglassville, PA, overseeing the maintenance department at our automated manufacturing facility. The role focuses on building and improving preventive, proactive, and predictive maintenance programs that enhance equipment reliability, production efficiency, and overall plant performance.

The manager spends about 80 % of the time on the plant floor leading technicians and specialists, while the remaining 20 % is dedicated to administrative duties such as using the ERP system to assign work and track costs. Collaboration with operations leaders, external contractors, and vendors is essential to prevent downtime and execute equipment installations and rebuilds.

• Lead and support plant maintenance team on the floor (≈80% of time)
• Manage administrative tasks including ERP workload assignments and cost tracking
• Partner with operations leaders to proactively prevent downtime
• Oversee plant technicians and specialists, providing coaching and guidance
• Manage projects for new equipment installations and equipment rebuilds
• Read, layout, and fabricate according to construction drawings
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns through planning and execution
• Maintain detailed records of equipment history, repairs, and completed work
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and external vendors onsite

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma (technical training preferred), at least five years of supervisory maintenance experience, and ten years in industrial manufacturing maintenance. Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, PLCs, and ERP systems is required, along with proven mentoring abilities. Experience with concrete manufacturing equipment is highly preferred, and the role requires on‑call support for a three‑shift operation.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
• 5+ years experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar leadership role
• 10+ years experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics & pneumatics, automation, mechanical systems, PLCs, and ERP systems
• Proven ability to mentor and train mechanical and electrical staff
• Experience with concrete manufacturing equipment (highly preferred)
• Availability for on‑call support across three shifts
