Lawyer/Associate - Medical Neglience/Insurance Law

Description

There are opportunities to assist in the defence of medical negligence claims (including nervous shock claims, wrongful birth claims and claims involving catastrophic and birth injuries), assist hospitals and medical practitioners in coronial investigations and inquests and assist medical practitioners involved in disciplinary proceedings.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will be an experienced lawyer with at least 2 years PQE. You will ideally have existing experience in defendant personal injury or professional indemnity, and a genuine interest in developing your expertise in medical negligence. If you are someone who enjoys a degree of autonomy whilst having the guidance of a supportive partner, and access to a number of senior lawyers in a close knit team, this could be the ideal role for you. We are looking for a lawyer or associate with hands on experience in defendant insurance who is keen to build or further their career in this complex and fascinating practice area.

An opportunity has arisen in our Melbourne office for a Lawyer/Associate with a minimum of 2 years PQE to join our medical negligence team on a permanent, full-time basis.

• A pragmatic and insightful approach to litigation and claims resolution.
