Provide insight in to the product schedule in order to optimize machine efficiency and reduce waste
Understand and participate in the tracking of various materials (plastics, metals, tapes or other materials) and drive a reduction in material usage.
Issue purchase requisitions to ensure proper supplies and equipment are available to operations.
Audit of existing process tooling availability versus requirement for CV’s, serve and tape.
Assist in the planning and execution of experiments on the shop floor.
Capture accuracy of run sheet information provided to the floor including daily audits.
Participate in various lean sigma projects being conducted in the plant from Lean Tech to Black Belt level.
Identify, lead and implement action items as required to improve the overall safety of the plant.
Work with various plant departments to ensure seamless execution of project plan.
Perform daily audits of scrap and non-conforming material to help determine root cause and corrective actions.
Understand the flow of product through the plant, identification and elimination of bottle necks.
Oversee small dollar value capital improvement projects from development of project plan through execution of the project.
Follow the leadership standard work format for daily audits
Work with various supplier and contractors to meet expected project outcomes.
Work within the engineering department on basic training and understanding of safety programs related to shop floor activities.
Develop training programs and participate in required training of all team members

Responsible for a large amount of information and must be well prepared for all demands on his/her resources.
Willingness to work 12 hour shifts and weekends to support the plants continuous operation (current position is working a 3-2-2-3 schedule)
Good communication skills

5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
Complete Introduction to Lean and Lean Technician courses.
