• Oversee material deliveries, equipment utilization, and subcontractor performance.
• Promote a strong culture of safety and quality control across all field operations.
• Conduct regular site meetings to review progress, address issues, and forecast upcoming work.
• Lead and mentor field teams, setting clear expectations and ensuring consistent communication.
• Monitor budgets, productivity, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, engineers, and project partners.
• Plan, schedule, and supervise daily field operations for highway/bridge construction activities.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with contract and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret and apply project drawings, plans, and specifications accurately.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Highway & Bridge Superintendent to oversee the successful delivery of large-scale heavy civil bridge and highway projects. This role involves managing on-site operations, ensuring safety and quality standards, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and maintaining project timelines. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise in concrete, steel bridge and highway construction with a proven ability to drive projects to completion across all phases.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of concrete and structural steel bridge construction methods.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Proven success in meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of performance.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in bridge or heavy civil construction supervision, ideally with projects in the Cincinnati region.
