

Owns and operates Australia’s largest natural gas transmission and electricity infrastructure network.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with standards by liaising with engineers, reviewing plans and designs, and recommending equipment modifications. You will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on pipeline systems, meter pressure reduction and compressor stations, as well as install, operate and test new equipment according to manufacturers’ instructions. The role also requires analysing data to maintain equipment integrity, optimising system performance, and conducting extensive site overhauls and complex fault finding.
The Operations & Maintenance team exists to safely operate APA Gas Transmission assets in an efficient, cost‑effective manner, supporting the company’s business strategy, extracting maximum asset value and delivering value to customers. The team focuses on our people, operational excellence and creating value, and is actively contributing to APA’s net‑zero ambition and future energy solutions.
The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of training and development within the energy infrastructure sector, strong leadership and team‑management abilities, and excellent coordination and communication skills. Experience in the oil and gas industry and proficiency in training evaluation and improvement planning are essential. You must be able to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
