What you would be doing

  • Port – loading/unloading of barges or other water vessels for the sole purpose where the materials loaded/unloaded are not used to support the businesses main operation, but where the main operations is the loading/unloading itself.
  • Promotes the sales of all Bramco product lines as they relate to the assigned customer demographic
  • Waste - loading, unloading, sorting and/or disposing of unwanted or unusable materials.
  • Collects and reports data on competitive market situation
  • Negotiates the details of contracts and payments, as well as prepares sales contracts and order forms
  • Maintains discretion in handling confidential company information
  • Maintains targeted company profit levels on sales
  • Scrap - storing, keeping, buying, or selling scrap, junk, or waste metal, including, but not limited to, automobiles, trucks, tractors, farm equipment, industrial equipment, containers, and appliances. This category also includes Steel (and other metals) Mill Customers.
  • Recommends products to customers, based on customers’ needs and interests
  • Is capable of targeting prospective customers using company’s purchased data (Ex: UCC-1 transactions), industry business directories, participation in clubs / associations, and trade shows or conferences
  • Continually develops the assigned sales territory by focusing on growing the customer base
  • Frequently visits customer facilities and job sites to ascertain current and future equipment needs
  • Attends sales training to remain current with manufacturer’s information pertaining to any changes to equipment, product offerings or services
  • Demolition - the process of removing buildings, homes and other structures from their sites.
  • Recycling - loading, unloading, sorting and/or processing recyclable materials.
  • Takes positive action to improve quality and customer satisfaction

  • Possesses a general knowledge of heavy machinery and their applications
  • Possesses the ability to make informed decisions that serve to drive revenue, price, and market share
  • Maintains a high level of product and service knowledge
  • Proficient in fact based problem solving, analysis, interpersonal, verbal & written communications, and organization
  • Able to perform duties effectively in a fast paced environment whether working autonomously or under direction
  • Ability to develop and maintain a solid base of customers for heavy equipment / material handling sales
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight frequently for product training or company related business associated with managing the assigned territory
  • Positive personality, team player, problem solver, self-starter, outstanding integrity, superior communicator
  • High proficiency in customer relationship skills
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales or a related field highly preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of successful sales experience with heavy machinery or working with related equipment required
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Business mindset, results driven, composed, and a positive attitude
  • Previous industry sales experience servicing customers in the scrap and recycling industry preferred
