The Employment Placement Specialist, Community Corrections is responsible for providing and coordinating employment programs to assist and support resident/inmates in their job search activities to secure and maintain gainful employment.
- Develop, coordinate, present and facilitate employment programs/workshops (e.g., job readiness, portfolio and resume development, interview technique training).
- Provide residents/inmates with employment assistance by matching skill levels with job placement resources, online resources (e.g., DOL website, America’s Career Info Net) and community resources in conjunction with case management staff.
- Assist in coordinating on‑site employment job fairs or refer residents/inmates to community job fairs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community employers, career centers, trade schools, social service agencies and other employment resources to aid residents/inmates in job search activities.
- Facilitate and monitor resident/inmate use of the facility computer lab, including telephone systems for job searching, resume writing, and internet usage, and regularly review job search verification activities.

- At least one year of experience in human resources, employment resources, or a related field.
- Demonstrated customer service skills in managing difficult residents/inmates.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with problem‑solving ability for complex issues.
