Assists the Engineering Supervisor in determining how to best to meet job requirements, coordinating jobs and conducting training.
Performs conversions between state plane coordinates and plant coordinates.
Checks entire job for interferences and constructability.
Produces new drawings as well as checks drawings for accuracy and completeness.
Assists Drafters in lower classifications with questions/issues during performance of project work.
Performs detailed dimensional and bill of material check of all drawings.

General knowledge and understanding of Civil codes and standards required for different types of work.
Experienced in industrial site development, storm drainage collection and retention/detention systems, potable water distribution systems, sanitary collection and pumping systems, geometric road layout, permitting, site grading, and earthwork.
4+ years of related civil design and layout experience required.
Strong PC skills including MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Performs basic and complex layouts.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline with a focus in civil/structural design preferred, or equivalent combination of education/experience in lieu of degree.
Ability to understand and use general math and trigonometry functions.
Strong understanding of drafting techniques.
Demonstrates strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously under time sensitive deadlines.
Advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge required.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in work.
