Assistant Controller - STEVENS EQUIPMENT SUPPLY
Daikin Comfort
Provides residential & commercial HVAC systems, heat pumps, air quality products and smart controls.
Manage financial close, GL, AP/AR, reporting, and oversee accounting functions.
Review, evaluate and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
Manage SGA consolidate vendor programs to ensure compliance and best total cost
Provide management with timely review of organization's financial status and progress.
Provide management and controller over balance sheet accounts
Gain an understanding of all state regulatory filing requirements and impact on the financial statements.
Lead AR/Cash posting department department and engagement
Provide management and oversight of general ledger and all journal entries
Lead AP department performance and engagement
Lead accounting close procedures to attain on timely and high quality work product
Prepare and present financial related reports including but not limited to balance sheet, income statement, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
Direct budget preparation, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets.
Support annual internal and external audits.

Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Have MS Excel skills at an intermediate level.
Must be able to demonstrate initiative to thoughtfully and fully research and follow up on nonstandard situations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Knowledge of State and local statutory requirements that govern financial reporting and accounting.
The ability to professionally interact with and influence the region, area and division leadership team as well as staff and customers to effectively accomplish goals in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment.
