Description

Major duties include month‑end activities such as posting actuals, accruals, intercompany recharges, and loading forecasts into the CFIN system, as well as handling balance‑sheet reconciliations, preparing SA&G spend reports, profit‑by‑product reporting, and acting as the SOX compliance owner. Additional responsibilities cover internal bulletins, annual asset impairment review, quarterly budget reviews, lease accounting, VAT returns, financial and environmental compliance, and serving as the primary contact for shared‑service queries.

• Perform month‑end closing tasks: post actuals, accruals, intercompany recharges, and load forecasts into CFIN.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and distribute SA&G spend reports and profit‑by‑product analysis for the UK & IRE market.
• Own SOX compliance by reviewing controls and certifying the ICQ system quarterly.
• Manage internal bulletins, capital asset impairment reviews, and quarterly budget reviews with budget holders.
• Process car lease accounting, monitor lease end dates, and support US lease and payroll teams.
• File GB and IRE VAT returns using the ROS system and liaise with external VAT specialists.
• Support financial compliance with HMRC reporting, payment practice submissions, and environmental waste packaging data.
• Act as primary contact for local finance queries, coordinating with Intercompany Hub, AP, and Travel & Expenses services.

Requirements

The candidate must have at least an AAT or CIMA certificate, several years of accounting experience, a strong teamwork ethic, and proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel.
