The position supports electric power generation clients seeking to increase the output of existing nuclear plants, working on major systems and processes across the plant.
The role involves consulting on power uprates, collaborating with clients and project teams, preparing technical proposals and cost estimates, managing project resources and budgets, and reviewing detailed engineering calculations and equipment evaluations.
- Perform consulting-level work for nuclear power uprates.
- Present technical discussions and project status to clients and teams.
- Prepare engineering proposals, cost estimates, and resource loading plans.
- Review and validate heat balance, pump, heat exchanger, and condenser calculations.
- Evaluate equipment sizing, optimization, and selection for uprate projects.
- Analyze vendor bids for technical compliance and conduct document reviews.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers on plant engineering tasks.
- Conduct independent reviews of calculations and drawings.
- Attend client meetings and site walkdowns to verify scope and satisfaction.

Candidates must hold a BSME from an ABET‑accredited program, bring at least 15 years of nuclear industry experience—particularly with power uprates or turbine retrofits—and possess strong skills in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, technical report writing, and code compliance.
