Key responsibilities include shaping and deploying the regional HR strategy to support short‑ and long‑term business priorities, ensuring alignment between APAC and New Zealand, and strengthening culture and organisational performance. You will develop leadership capability through coaching, drive employee engagement and positive relations, champion inclusion, compliance and change initiatives, and own HR programs covering talent management, performance, DEI, compensation & benefits, and organisational development.
We are seeking an experienced senior HR leader to join our New Zealand Executive Leadership Team as Human Resources Manager. Based in Auckland, this strategic role aligns APAC and global HR vision while enhancing workplace collaboration and inclusion across the region. The position is hands‑on, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, driving transformational change, and leading a small, dynamic HR team.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor degree in HR/Industrial Relations or Business, with 10+ years in senior HR roles within fast‑paced environments such as manufacturing, FMCG, distribution or construction. You have proven success leading multi‑site teams, sit on senior leadership groups, work closely with HSE teams, and possess strong stakeholder management, communication and commercial acumen. Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, Workable) is a plus, and you must be willing to travel as required.
We offer hybrid working with one day per week in our Avondale office, an annual bonus program, a safety‑first culture (“Go for Zero”), and a strong focus on sustainability. Benefits include industry‑leading paid parental leave (26 weeks for primary carers, 4 weeks for secondary carers), an Employee Assistance Program, recognition awards, mentoring, participation in a global DEI council, and career development opportunities both locally and globally.
