Inspect, repair and maintain all of the electrical installations necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the property by utilizing all areas of technical expertise within your licensed discipline in such a way as to provide tenants and customers with a secure and healthy environment.
Carry out various tasks involved in general building maintenance (e.g. painting, plastering, plumbing, servicing locks).
Play an active part in the energy use reduction project by contributing ideas and improvements to the equipment and procedures currently in place.
Lend support to and/or take on added responsibilities within the department in order to maintain the team's overall efficiency.
Bring the preventive maintenance systems up to date by entering data mined from preventive maintenance logs.
Handle electrical service calls.
Help sub-contractors with their work.
Respond to emergency calls by being available on call to guarantee the efficient and continued operation of the property and to minimize any inconvenience caused to tenants and clients by power failures.
As warranted, help resolve problems related but not limited to electrical, mechanical and maintenance equipment, as well as the HVAC system, to guarantee a high level of service for customers, tenants and clients.
Ensure proper operation of all plumbing equipment in the upper storeys.
Limit the risks of losses due to power outages by ensuring that all safety rules are observed and that any hazards are reported to the people concerned on a timely basis.
