In this role you will keep automation projects moving by partnering with system integrators and manufacturers to ensure flawless operation. Responsibilities include supporting data‑center startups, performing on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, leading startup and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems, and collaborating with automation engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate their solutions. You will provide clear communication to customers and project teams, working on rotating travel schedules such as 5 on/2 off, 10 on/4 off, or 14 on/7 off.
We are opening our 2026 hiring pipeline for adaptable problem‑solvers who enjoy travel, hands‑on work, and being recognized by name. Candidates should be able to laugh through flight delays, think on their feet, and relish solving complex issues. Our four‑week paid training prepares technically skilled individuals, but a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking is required.
We seek candidates who love travel and can handle frequent away‑from‑home rotations, have a working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and networking, and thrive on changing plans. Strong communication, problem‑solving skills, and adaptability are essential. Applicants must live within 50 miles of a major airport (relocation assistance available), have a personal vehicle within 45 days of employment, be authorized to work in the U.S., and possess a technical degree or equivalent hands‑on experience (3+ years) in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
Physical demands include walking long distances across large facilities, climbing ladders or working at heights, lifting and moving up to 50 lb, and standing, kneeling, or reaching for extended periods. Work environments may vary from construction sites to outdoor settings with hot or cold conditions, and reasonable accommodations are provided for individuals with disabilities.
Working with us means combining work and travel: you’ll visit new cities, tackle unique projects, and earn travel rewards while serving customers across North America, without a traditional office. Compensation starts at $60,000–$75,000 depending on location, education, and experience, plus per‑diem, mileage reimbursement, utilization and weekend bonuses, and a culture of trust and teamwork. We invest in your growth through paid training, annual merit raises, and a 5% salary increase after six months, while offering health, dental, life insurance, a matching 401(k), disability coverage, paid vacation, and flexible time off after 18 months.
