The successful candidate will lead estimating and cost planning activities, own and present cost plans, and manage the full procurement process from pre‑qualification through to contract preparation. Delivering cost‑management services that achieve strategic outcomes and key performance indicators will be central to the role.
Operating with integrity, the role will ensure fiscally and ethically viable operations that meet business and legislative compliance, while contributing to Mace’s net‑zero carbon transition by proactively managing associated emissions. Accountability for upholding Mace values and driving positive impact for people, clients and the planet is required.
Leadership responsibilities include mentoring, coaching and developing Cost Consultants, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and leveraging Mace’s knowledge hubs, centres of excellence and the Mace Way control centre. The incumbent will also identify and implement enhancements to cost‑management procedures, templates and products.
Mace is expanding its team and seeks an experienced Cost Consultancy professional with construction and project management background. The consultancy arm combines cutting‑edge practical expertise with project delivery consultancy to unlock potential in every project.
Candidates must hold a degree in quantity surveying or cost management and be a member of MRICS/RICS, progressing towards fellowship. Required expertise includes detailed knowledge of contract forms, value engineering, life‑cycle costing, contract law, BIM techniques and sector‑specific experience, along with analytical and digital competence.
