The Quantity Surveying Graduate role sits within AECOM's Cost Management team, providing construction cost services to clients across the UK, Ireland, and internationally. The team works on a diverse portfolio that includes commercial developments, manufacturing facilities, educational institutions, health and science projects, residential schemes, cultural venues, and large‑scale infrastructure.
Graduates will experience the full project lifecycle—from initial definition and cost planning through procurement, construction, and building use—collaborating with high‑profile clients and designers. The role offers responsibility early on, requiring both independent work and teamwork, while benefiting from guidance and mentorship.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (minimum 2:1) in Quantity Surveying, preferably RICS‑accredited, and demonstrate strong decision‑making, communication, organization, and collaborative skills. A proactive, deadline‑driven attitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; applicants should submit a covering letter, academic transcripts, and ensure they have permanent right to work in the UK or Ireland, as visa sponsorship is not available. The role is based in Cambridge with a hybrid work model.
AECOM's Development Programme supports professional growth through mentorship, on‑the‑job technical development, classroom training, and exposure to live client projects. Graduates are prepared for chartership with dedicated coordinators, a Chartership Steering Group, and a strong support network aimed at achieving a first‑time pass rate well above the national average.
The ADVANCE training programme delivers tools for early‑career navigation, covering equity, diversity, inclusion, social value, wellbeing, career planning, professional skills, and AECOM processes. Additional resources include AECOM University’s self‑directed learning, monthly CPD sessions, and a residential chartership technical training event that builds technical and interpersonal capabilities.
AECOM offers flexible hybrid working, a comprehensive benefits and wellbeing programme, and a culture that values equity, diversity, and inclusion. Employees gain access to industry‑leading technology, global project exposure, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact while developing their careers.
