Senior Estimator

Description

• Support clients with early-stage pricing advice and value-engineering solutions.
• Work closely with Bid Managers, Planners, Procurement, and Technical Services to ensure competitive and compliant submissions.
• Work on high-profile, nationally significant projects that shape the UK’s infrastructure.
• Contribute to both successful bid handovers and post-tender reviews for continuous improvement.
• Analyse designs and suggest cost-effective alternatives to optimise project delivery.
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for major tenders and frameworks.
• Take ownership of risk identification, cash flow considerations, and tender governance.
• Coordinate with procurement to source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Lead and mentor Assistant Estimators, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.

Requirements

Are you an experienced Estimator ready to take the next step in your career?

• Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector.
• Commercial awareness of various forms of contract (NEC, JCT, etc.).
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and methodologies.
• Proficiency with estimating software packages and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
