- Responsible for smooth functioning of production lines, developing new techniques, initiating design modifications, and initiating and leading process improvement initiatives/projects.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles, conduct process audits, and develop/maintain standard operating procedures.
- Work independently and as part of the production team to drive and lead the evaluation of workflows, identification of bottlenecks, and implementation of innovative solutions to improve productivity and quality.
- Select and maintain appropriate equipment for production, and ensure it meets performance and safety requirements.
- Perform all work in accordance with and in compliance with Kinectrics’ policies, procedures and standards, and in a safe manner.
- Report to senior management and key stakeholders on production efficiency, costs, quality, inventory, etc.
- Identify, assist and give direction on the optimization and improved efficiency of the medical isotopes production process.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of issues that arise during production, such as equipment malfunctions or quality defects with the support of the technical and production team.
- Monitor production processes, collect production data, analyze production data to identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance operational performance.

- Proven ability in developing standard operating and safety procedures.
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a valid nuclear site security clearance.
- Excellent and demonstrated ability to work effectively, lead investigations and interface with multiple team members to solve complex problems.
- Familiarity with vacuum systems, ion sources, laser systems, and/or accelerator systems is an asset.
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Physics, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical/I&C, and/or Engineering Physics.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects to successful conclusions.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing/operations environment and must comply with all applicable safety protocols, procedures, standards, and Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
- Excellent experience in the areas of operations, mechanical and electrical systems, interface with computer applications, maintenance and/or troubleshoot of complex equipment and processes.

- Proven ability to utilize computer software programs for data management.
- Flexibility to perform work over a wide range of areas for both operating and new facilities.
- Ability to provide value-added solutions and to consistently deliver projects ahead of schedule and under budget.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience or equivalent combined academic and practical experience in ion implantation and/or experimental physics in plasma technology, ion sources, or ion beam transport is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal (technical and non-technical) communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- High commitment to quality. Excellent knowledge of Quality Assurance principles.
