Support quality control activities by participating in independent reviews and checks of structural designs.
Perform calculations and prepare design documentation under the guidance of senior engineers; review the work of EITs as appropriate.
Contribute to the preparation of construction specifications and tender documentation as part of a project team.
Support the proposal preparation process for bridge design projects as required.
Participate in meetings with clients to present work, discuss design issues, and support project coordination efforts under the direction of senior staff.
Assist in the concept, preliminary, and detailed design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other civil structures.
Assist in managing smaller project tasks or work packages to help ensure delivery on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario (P. Eng.).
Experience with the analysis and design of new bridges and civil structures, and rehabilitation of existing structures.
Ability to prepare comprehensive engineering reports, condition assessment reports, design reports, presentations, technical proposals and specifications.
Experience in parametric modelling using Rhino and Grasshopper would be an asset.
Bachelor’s or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Civil/Structural Engineering
Thorough understanding and design experience using applicable codes and standards, notably CSA S6, AREMA and Metrolinx Guidelines.
5 years or more of experience with prior work experience in infrastructure/bridge projects, preferably in Ontario.
Ability to communicate successfully (verbally, written, and in executive presentations) with internal and external clients and collaborators, and build welldeveloped teams and positive relationships.
Proficiency with structural design and analysis software with bridge engineering applications; working experience with MIDAS or other similar software.
