We are looking for a proven Project Executive to join our Alternative Delivery team. This senior level position leads projects from initial pursuit through contract execution and delivery, managing proposals, budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, subcontractor procurement, client relations, and construction operations to final completion. The role oversees on-site project teams, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance across alternative delivery projects using CMGC, Progressive Design-Build, and Design-Build contract methods. The Project Executive is responsible for the direction of large revenue projects, establishes project objectives and policies, maintains liaison with owners and JV partners, and monitors construction and financial activities through the dedicated project management team.

  • Collaborate with Alternative Delivery group management, Business Development and Design Management to select design consultants and JV partners
  • Provide positive safety and quality control management to the project
  • Oversee document control and coordination of subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and management of budgets
  • Anticipate project needs with sufficient lead-time to avoid delay of production
  • Navigate permitting processes and coordinate with regulatory agencies
  • Collaborate with design management to align scope with budget and schedule
  • Managing subcontractors and project team (subordinates)
  • Prepare and negotiate time-related overhead
  • Assist in reviewing and negotiating contracts and change orders; liaise with executive management as appropriate.
  • Manage the preparation of change orders and claims
  • Take an active role in managing owner relationships and business development.
  • Review all major correspondence prepared by project team prior to submission to the Owner.
  • Provide support and technical advice to project personnel to resolve problems proactively.
  • Assemble key personnel for the project
  • Mentor and manage Project Engineers, Project Managers and Interns as assigned.
  • Develop and manage project schedules and critical path analysis
  • Conduct site evaluations with SMEs and estimators
  • Represent Griffith Company and lead projects with a “project first” mindset
  • Review and negotiate owner contracts with legal counsel
  • Develop conceptual budgets and detailed cost estimates; manage risk registers
  • Lead client communications and maintain satisfaction throughout procurement
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in line with company policies
  • Identify and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, including exclusive agreements
  • Project planning, scheduling and coordination of large-scale projects
  • Lead RFQ/RFP strategy, proposal development, and technical submissions

  • 10+ years in operations and project management of large-scale ($100M+) civil projects

  • 5+ years in preconstruction and estimating for alternative delivery projects
  • Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of public contract code
  • Must frequently lift and move up to 20 pounds.

  • Must be proficient in project projections
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree would be preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience. Professional Engineer licenses desired.
  • Must have an understanding of time impact analysis and time related overhead
  • 10+ years of alternative delivery project experience
  • Must have a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills
  • Frequently required to stand and walk at construction jobsites

Annual Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000.
