Tasks
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Senior Technologist to join our Vancouver team. Our office is involved in a broad and dynamic range of projects, including commercial, mixed-use, retail, industrial, hospitality, public, and healthcare developments. In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers to produce detailed documentation that brings designs from concept to completion. You’ll ensure the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of drawing packages through coordination with team members and consultants. In addition, you’ll provide mentorship to junior staff and help troubleshoot complex design and production challenges. -Coordinate with and review the work of consultants -Lead, develop, prepare, and review Contract Documents (CD) and specifications -Perform Quality Control procedures -Approve and control all time spent on projects, expenses, and consultant invoices -Direct the research and compilation of construction materials -Prepare cartoon sets and production plans; oversee production management and reporting functions -Provide mentorship guidance and direction to other Production Team Members -Chair production meetings -Actively manage project fee budgets and costs to ensure project profitability and prepare reports as required; draft fee agreements and contracts -Direct the preparation of tender documents -Ensure coordination of consultant documentation with respect to project criteria, client program, drawings, and specifications -Collaborate with authorities having jurisdiction -Direct the assembly, circulation, and filing of project documents -Perform Contract Administration (CA) duties in collaboration with the Contract Administrator -Lead, develop, prepare, and review Design Development Drawings (DD) and outline specifications -Perform code and bylaw analysis

What You Bring
-Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness -Familiarity with tendering phase requirements, reviewing documents, and supporting bid processes -Skilled at working on drawing production and quality control of technical documents -Advanced Revit proficiency, including model management and documentation workflows -Minimum 8-10 years of local experience as an architectural technologist -Strong eye for detailing and technical precision, with a focus on constructability and building code compliance
