Associate Chief Manager - Construction

Description

The Planning Lead will own overall project cost and schedule control, develop and maintain controls plans and procedures, mentor junior engineers, and ensure contractors implement effective measurement and control measures. You will also participate in kickoff meetings, capture lessons learned, and analyse trends to forecast risks and opportunities.

• Lead project cost, schedule, estimating, progress measurement, and change management across the project lifecycle.
• Develop, maintain and enforce project controls plans, procedures, and baselines.
• Mentor junior project controls engineers to ensure technical quality and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction subcontractors to align on controls requirements.
• Capture lessons learned, analyse trends, and produce forecasts on risks and opportunities.
• Monitor contractor performance in progress measurement and enforce effective control measures.
• Review and endorse contractor‑submitted plans, procedures, schedules, and cost/schedule forecasts.
• Regular development reviews including Mid‑Year Development Review.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings at least 15 years of experience analysing schedules and progress reports, creating critical‑path schedules, and managing change proposals. A degree in any discipline, professional proficiency in English, and strong skills in project cost, schedule, estimating and progress measurement are required.

• Minimum 15 years of experience analysing contractor schedules, progress reports and change proposals.
• Proven ability to develop critical‑path schedules, AWP/CWP/WBS structures and schedule performance metrics.
• Experience validating and improving subcontractor schedules.
• Degree in any field; professional fluency in English.
