The Retail Home Consultant’s primary purpose is to deliver a world‑class home buying experience by helping customers select floor plans, choose options, and coordinate the construction process. This role blends sales expertise with personalized service to ensure a seamless journey from selection to move‑in.
Ideal team members embody the Clayton Ambassador spirit, protecting the brand through integrity, while continuously learning about finance, mortgages, products, sales techniques, and the local market. They excel in customer follow‑up, merchandising, personal prospecting, product demonstration, appointment setting, and active participation in training and team collaboration.
Candidates should have at least six months of relationship‑driven B2C sales experience, a solid understanding of the retail environment, and the ability to obtain the required manufactured home sales license. Strong verbal communication, organizational skills, a professional appearance, flexibility to work Saturdays, and the physical ability to walk the lot, show homes year‑round, and lift up to 75 lb are essential, along with passing a background check and drug screening.
Compensation includes a $50,000 base salary plus a lucrative commission plan with unlimited earning potential.
