Build and maintain strong and effective client relationships through targeted activities.
Oversight of engineering design for projects and design packages to meet the requirements of the client and SMEC.

Experience working in an alliance environment, managing the interface between client stakeholders and ensuring designs meets expectations and are fit for purpose.
15+ years of experience managing infrastructure projects of >$1m successfully to budget and client specifications.
Global Expertise, Local Insight: With a presence in over 40 countries, SMEC combines global knowledge with local understanding to deliver tailored solutions that meet New Zealand's unique needs.
Local experience successfully delivering Design Management capabilities on major multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
Ideally the right Design Manager will come have a Civil or Structural background.
Experience in the co-ordination, design and delivery of designs within multi-disciplinary engineering projects
High level communication skills to advise and guide project design development in a pro-active manner and to represent the SMEC design team as a valuable contributor to the project.
