- Support Finance Manager in month‑end payroll accounting close for Mace.
- Review and reconcile payroll balance‑sheet accounts, document balances and highlight risks/opportunities.
- Collaborate with Payroll team to obtain timely information for correct accounting treatment.
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
- Drive process‑improvement initiatives and implement best practices.
- Prepare additional management information as required.
- Perform ad‑hoc tasks as needed.
- Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations.
- Manage project costing and post internal recharges.

We are looking for an experienced qualified or part‑qualified Payroll Accountant to join the finance team during this period of change. The role works closely with senior stakeholders and supports the Finance Manager in maintaining accurate financial records and complying with reporting standards. It requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles and payroll accounting.
- Hold a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
