2-5 years relevant work experience in Structural/Architectural drafting and Revit/AutoCAD design
In depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, as well as understanding of Zoning and Municipal design requirements considered an asset
Knowledge of construction materials and practices
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
Experience preparing accurate working drawings for permit application
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment
Experience with rendering software's, such as Twinmotion considered an asset
Knowledge of various Structural framing types and understanding of a building's structural system considered an asset
Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative
Graduate of Architectural Technology Diploma Program or equivalent
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs required; experience in Revit considered an asset
Access to vehicle for site review/inspections is considered an asset
Ability to interpret Structural design markups and apply critical thinking to accurately convey the information on a set of structural engineering/design drawings
Working towards C. Tech., BCIN, or other professional designation is considered an asset
