Design Consultant - Residential

Description

In this field‑based role, you will conceptualize, design, and implement interior spaces that align with Megatel Homes’ brand vision, managing the process from initial concept through final execution while ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.

• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive interior design concepts.
• Produce detailed design plans, including layouts, color schemes, material selections, and specifications using CAD or sketches.
• Source and procure design items, materials, furniture, and accessories, ensuring quality, cost‑effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to secure optimal deals while maintaining vendor relationships.
• Oversee installation and implementation of interior design elements, coordinating with contractors and trades professionals.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, resolve design issues, and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and innovative techniques to enhance design offerings.
• Apply creative problem‑solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Provide at least three years of interior design experience with a strong residential, commercial, or hospitality portfolio.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of design principles, space planning, color theory, and material selection.
• Exhibit strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
• Show exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for cross‑functional collaboration and client presentations.
• Possess experience in procurement and sourcing of design items, focusing on quality, craftsmanship, and value.
• Be familiar with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
