Key duties include analyzing survey data and topographic information, planning and designing transportation and hydraulic systems, creating designs for stormwater, sewer, pipelines, parking, sidewalks, and roadways, preparing site grading and utility plans, performing hydraulic calculations, and communicating project status to managers and clients.
We are seeking a full‑time, exempt Civil Professional Engineer at the mid‑level, who will work on municipal and private development projects. The role begins with developing civil drawings under a Project Manager’s direction, collaborating with Professional Engineers, Engineers‑in‑Training, and Designers, and progresses toward managing full‑scope civil engineering projects.
The position requires a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET‑accredited program and a Professional Engineer license, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred experience includes civil project design or calculations across land development, commercial, industrial, municipal, and utility sectors, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and optionally HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, ArcGIS, or Bluebeam.
The role is primarily sedentary with occasional lifting up to 25 lb, and follows a flexible 40‑hour work week that can be arranged as five 8‑hour days or four 9‑hour days plus a half‑day Friday, while maintaining core business hours of 9 am–4 pm.
