The Cost Manager role is based in the South East or Anglia, focusing on water, environment, and power transmission and distribution infrastructure. You will join the Buildings & Places Infrastructure team, providing accurate, value‑driven cost services for high‑profile capital projects.

In this position you will manage cost throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial business case and feasibility studies through to commissioning and final accounts. The role involves cost planning, contract procurement, tender preparation, risk and dispute management, and post‑contract reporting.

Deliver end‑to‑end cost management from inception to completion, including feasibility estimates and cost planning.
Prepare and manage contract procurement, tender documentation, and value engineering activities.
Oversee risk management, dispute resolution, and post‑contract cost reporting.
Generate fees, manage final accounts, and ensure compliance with NEC4 contracts (PSC and ECC).
Maintain and develop client relationships to enhance AECOM’s professional reputation.
Support and mentor junior staff members within the cost management team.
Drive performance standards and technical excellence through effective communication and participation in practice networks.

Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and be MRICS accredited or working towards membership.
