Manage schedule scope changes in alignment with contract requirements;
Utilize information from construction drawings, specifications, contracts and proposal documents;
Conduct schedule analysis for constructability, risks and opportunities;
Retrieve, consolidate and analyze information from various sources;
Implement subcontractor schedules into the master project schedule;
Apply leadership skills to support the site manager in project execution.
Communicate plans and schedules internally and externally through effective graphs and reports; and
Analyze schedule delays, impacts and variances to the baseline and generate solutions for scheduling conflicts;
Facilitate the planning and scheduling process through various construction phases (preconstruction, construction, system completions, etc.);

High Emotional intelligence, especially with regard to social awareness and relationship management;
Understanding of Advanced Work Packaging / WorkFace Planning;
6-8 years of experience in planning and scheduling with direct hire trades and subcontractors is required, although less experience may be considered for the right candidate;
Capacity to prioritize work under strict timelines and be adaptable to changing needs;
An Engineering Technology Diploma or Engineering Degree preferred but not mandatory;
Advanced knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel;
Effective listening and oral communication skills (including spoken, written and visual);
The position will require working on-site, just outside of Edmonton, AB
Capable and confident presenting to small and large groups; and
Thorough understanding of planning and scheduling principles, best practices and techniques;
A keen eye for detail;
Experience in using schedule delay analysis methods, schedule risk analysis and 4D scheduling would be an asset;
Comfortable working with a variety of people including estimators, field supervision, subcontractors, project management and clients.
