The Technical Advisor ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. They guide and advise the client’s Balance of Plant (BOP) contractor to meet Nordex’s quality standards during the installation and finishing phases of wind turbines (WTG). They provide expert technical support for mechanical and electrical installations of Nordex turbines and components, ensure adherence to instructions, and proactively prevent deviations. They serve as the main point of contact between the client and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution and final delivery.

  • Inspection et contrôle qualité : Effectuer les inspections et contrôles requis (réception des marchandises, points de contrôle qualité, « Customer Walkdown ») afin d’assurer la conformité aux normes et aux spécifications du projet.
  • Quality Assurance: Advise the client’s BOP contractor to ensure Nordex quality standards are met and facilitate a smooth transition to commissioning teams, the client, and after-sales service.
  • Inspection & Quality Control: Conduct required inspections and quality checks (goods receipt, quality checkpoints, customer walkdowns) to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.
  • Daily Reports: Actively manage daily progress reports in UPVISE, providing real-time updates on supervised activities.
  • HSE Compliance: Proactively ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements throughout the installation and finishing phases of WTGs, and report any deviations.
  • Supervision des travaux : S’assurer que tous les travaux mécaniques sont exécutés conformément aux instructions d’installation et aux exigences d’entretien des outillages; formuler des recommandations en cas d’écart.
  • Reporting: Document and report any quality or scheduling deviations during installation, finishing, and commissioning using the UPVISE system.
  • Tooling Management: Oversee the receipt, use, and return of Nordex tooling, ensuring proper usage and availability throughout the project.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain a positive collaborative relationship with the client’s BOP contractor to support smooth project execution.
  • Work Supervision: Ensure all mechanical work is performed according to installation instructions and tooling maintenance requirements; provide recommendations in case of discrepancies.
  • Technical Support: Apply strong technical knowledge to support all mechanical and electrical activities carried out by the client’s BOP contractor and Nordex subcontractors.
  • Documentation: Assist in preparing and maintaining documentation required for handover to the client and BOP contractor.

Il guide et conseille l’entrepreneur Balance of Plant (BOP) du client afin d’atteindre les normes de qualité requises durant l’installation et la phase de finition des éoliennes (WTG). Il fournit une expertise technique pointue sur les installations mécaniques et électriques des éoliennes et de leurs composantes Nordex, veille au respect des instructions et prévient de façon proactive toute déviation. Il agit comme principal point de contact entre le client et les sous-traitants pour garantir la bonne exécution du projet et sa remise finale.

  • On-site presence required for the full duration of wind farm projects (typically 6 to 12 months).

  • Diplôme d’études collégiales (DEC) en génie mécanique, électrique ou dans une discipline connexe, ou expérience professionnelle équivalente.
  • Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience en supervision dans les domaines mécanique, électrique ou de la construction; une expérience en construction mécanique de parcs éoliens est un atout.
  • Bilinguisme français et anglais requis.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in mechanical, electrical, or construction fields; experience in mechanical wind farm construction is an asset.
  • Présence sur site requise pendant toute la durée des projets éoliens (habituellement 6 à 12 mois).
  • Exigences légales : être légalement autorisé(e) à travailler au Canada et à entrer aux États-Unis, si requis.
  • Heures de travail : 40–50 h/semaine; 6 jours/semaine.
  • Experience in quality management and control; experience in turbine assembly is a plus.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Ability to meet the 120 kg (265 lb) weight limit for safe use of equipment and safety harness.
