B.S. or M.S. in Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science, or related scientific discipline
Knowledge of risk assessment principles, procedures, and guidance particularly USEPA CERCLA and Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP)
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, listen and engage, including communicating technical information effectively
Strong technical writing skills
Must be well organized, able to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time, and deliver on time and within budget
Experience with risk assessment-specific tasks (presentation of analytical data and dose-response data, selection of chemicals of potential concern, calculation of exposure point concentrations (Excel and ProUCL), and calculation of cancer risk and Hazard Index) is desirable
Ability to work effectively with team members as well as independently
Able to work in the field to collect samples
Experience with metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances is desirable
Familiarity using Microsoft Excel for the presentation of data, calculations, and data evaluation
