In this role you will act as Design Manager and Lead Engineer on substations, overhead‑line foundations, cable routes and related T&D infrastructure, while mentoring junior staff and shaping proposals in client and marketing meetings. You will also influence strategy, grow the T&D service offering and champion innovation, digital engineering and design efficiency.

We are looking for an experienced Civil & Structural Engineer to take a senior leadership role within our Transmission & Distribution (T&D) capability in the UK. The position combines technical authority, design management, training responsibilities, and client‑facing commercial support on major power‑infrastructure projects.

Hold a BEng/MEng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Be a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with MICE or MIStructE membership.
Possess 10+ years of civil and structural engineering experience with strong T&D exposure.
Have proven experience delivering transmission and distribution infrastructure, including substations and power networks.
Experience working with National Grid and UK DNOs (e.g., UK Power Networks, SSEN, SPEN, WPD).
Demonstrated experience as Lead Engineer, Design Manager or Technical Authority.
Strong knowledge of UK design standards, Eurocodes and CDM regulations.
Confident client‑facing communicator with leadership and mentoring skills.
Hold a full UK driving licence.
