- Conduct safety checks and report hazards or incidents.
- Support onboarding and training of new operatives.
- Lead by example in maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Organise and lead daily team activities on the production floor.
- Monitor the impact of changes and provide feedback.
- Provide updates during shift handovers and team briefings.
- Ensure production targets are met in line with shift plans.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend development opportunities.
- Delegate tasks and monitor individual and team performance.
- Motivate team members and promote a positive working environment.
- Participate in improvement projects and implement changes.
- Support quality checks and escalate any non-conformances.
- Promote a “right first time” approach across the team.
- Monitor workflow and adjust resources to meet demand.
- Coach team members on SOPs and best practices.
- Record production data, downtime, and any issues accurately.
- Liaise with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams.
- Identify and resolve minor production issues to avoid downtime.
- Encourage suggestions for process improvements.
- Enforce safe working practices and ensure PPE is worn correctly.
