The Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) Manager will lead all EHS&S programs at a single manufacturing site of 30‑35 employees. Reporting to the Site Manager and MPY HSE&S Manager, the role ensures compliance with federal, provincial and local regulations, corporate policies and permits, while acting as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies.
- Lead EHS&S activities for a site of 30‑35 employees, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance.
- Serve as primary liaison with environmental and safety regulatory agencies, managing permits, audits and inspections.
- Develop, implement and maintain site safety and environmental policies, procedures and programs.
- Plan, deliver and document all required HSE training for employees, contractors and new hires.
- Conduct incident, accident and near‑miss investigations, determine root causes and apply corrective actions.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness as site Emergency Coordinator, leading drills and response plans.
- Perform risk assessments, hazard analyses, management‑of‑change activities and regular site inspections.
- Manage hazardous and internal waste programs, including storage, handling, disposal and waste‑reduction initiatives.
- Execute compliance audits, track reporting through the compliance calendar and corporate protocols.
- Provide safety leadership by supporting behavior‑based safety programs, safety committees and global HSE&S initiatives.

The position has authority to make routine decisions independently, but more complex choices require approval from senior management.
- Hold a post‑secondary degree with 2‑4+ years of EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Prior experience in the coatings, chemical or paint industry; knowledge of bulk petroleum regulations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of EHS regulatory requirements and ability to manage compliance risks.
- Proven ability to conduct job hazard analyses, risk assessments and facility audits.
- Skilled in designing and delivering EHS training for small‑to‑medium groups and coaching staff.
- Demonstrated safety leadership, integrity and influence across all organizational levels.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
- Bilingual in French and English; able to work in a heavy manufacturing setting with physical demands and chemical exposure.
