In this role, you will support community and departmental operations by promoting consistent use of policies, procedures, and digital tools. You will help associates confidently understand, adopt, and utilize AvalonBay’s core operational systems, and you may also assist with onboarding during acquisitions and lease‑ups while contributing to training initiatives.
Key responsibilities include providing solution‑focused guidance on system navigation, developing compliance‑aligned training resources, supporting lease‑up and acquisition onboarding, participating in User Acceptance Testing for new digital products, and assisting the fraud‑prevention team with tool usage and ticket management. You may also help define quality‑assurance criteria and identify training needs.
The preferred candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field, though a high school diploma is required. At least one year of experience in multi‑family property management, real estate, hospitality, or retail is desired, along with familiarity with AvalonBay’s software applications. Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of tools such as DocuSign, Workday, App Lease, Salesforce, and the Resident Portal, are essential.
The position operates primarily in an office environment with occasional travel between sites and occasional overnight stays. Physical demands are typical of an office setting, and you must be able to operate standard office equipment.
New hires must complete AvalonBay’s orientation and any system‑related training within the first 30 days, along with any additional training assigned by the manager.
AvalonBay offers comprehensive benefits—including health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid vacation, tuition reimbursement, an employee stock purchase plan, and a 20% discount on its apartment homes—along with growth opportunities through internal promotion, associate recognition programs, and a culture grounded in integrity, caring, and continuous improvement.
