Cost Control Manager

Description

• Track and control project expenditures against budget, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Support in tendering and estimation for new landscape projects, including cost benchmarking and value engineering proposals.
• Analyze cost variances and prepare regular cost reports (weekly/monthly) for management and clients.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose corrective actions where needed.
• Review and validate BOQs, unit rates, and cost breakdowns for softscape, hardscape, irrigation, lighting, and related works.
• Ensure compliance with contract conditions and company policies related to cost control and reporting.
• Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems for landscape construction projects.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, cash flows, and cost forecasts.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Planning, Procurement, and QS teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date cost data.
• Review and verify subcontractor and supplier invoices, variations, and claims.

Requirements

We are looking for a Cost Control Manager with strong experience in landscape construction projects to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing project costs from tender to final account, ensuring that all landscape works are delivered within budget while maintaining high quality and compliance with contract requirements.

• Strong knowledge of project cost management, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience with landscape construction packages: earthworks, paving, planting, irrigation systems, site furniture, lighting, etc.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and cost control/ERP software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Familiarity with contract forms (e.g. FIDIC or similar) is an advantage.
• 10+ years of experience in cost control within the construction industry, with a strong focus on landscape projects (softscape & hardscape).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills in a multicultural environment.
