The Senior Design & Planning Executive will be responsible for delivering high-quality designs and most commercially viable planning permissions by supporting the Planning team with designs and supporting information.
Liaise and negotiate where necessary with Statutory Authorities, Local Planning Authorities, Highways, Consultants etc. to ensure projects achieve the set objectives and programmes.
Deliver designs and supporting information in a consistent format across all schemes and in line with the department’s standards.
Provide knowledge/expertise to react to changes in legislation as dictated by industry standards of Building Control, NHBC and planning law.
Alongside the Land team, manage and drive Section 106 agreements, identifying the commercial impact and negotiating commercially viable contributions with authorities.
Produce & co-ordinate high quality designs, utilizing TW standard products and details wherever possible.
Implement the departments Quality Management Process to ensure Design information meets the high-quality expectations of the business.
Set an example for management of project fees and costs to budget and through the TW processes (fee schedules, Workflow etc).
Liaise and co-ordinate design information with the Engineering team to insure adoptable and approval standards are met.
Responsible for all planning and development functions on a determined number of sites.
Ensure the design scheme is viable, liaising with internal colleagues to ensure the scheme meets BU requirements.
Clear all planning conditions prior to approval.
Ensure the design of schemes is compliant with all external requirements (Building Regs, TW Technical Bulletins, Water Authority, Highway Authority, NHBC etc).
Management of external consultants to ensure information is received, coordinated and distributed on time and within budget.
Arrange, co-ordinate and manage all design meetings with other departments in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all relevant action points are noted and recorded.
Alongside the Land team, manage community consultations, enquiries and reactions of the surrounding population to planning applications.
