The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist will lead, monitor, and develop the overall safety program while handling day‑to‑day operations and maintaining a forward‑looking, long‑range vision. The position follows a Monday‑Friday, 7 am‑3:30 pm shift.
Key responsibilities encompass promoting workplace safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA, ANSI, EPA, and other regulations, developing and executing safety and health programs, performing audits to identify gaps, and driving initiatives that embed safety culture into daily operations. Additional duties include managing training schedules, delivering safety and onboarding training, conducting thorough incident investigations, implementing injury‑reduction strategies such as JSA/JHA, coordinating with industrial‑hygiene and environmental consultants, handling annual environmental reporting, providing first‑aid treatment, and supporting hearing conservation and respiratory‑protection programs.
Minimum qualifications require 3‑5 years of safety experience, preferably in manufacturing, a bachelor's degree in safety and health, a valid driver’s license, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must be flexible with schedules, highly organized, and either certified in First Aid/CPR or willing to become certified.
