Maintain accurate logs of dock activities and inventory movements.
Loading dock areas in commercial retail, and residential facilities.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with drivers and carriers with commercial tenants and property management team.
Attend team meetings and trainings to ensure our standards and service levels are adhered to
Conduct regular safety checks and inspections
Coordinate the schedule and allocation of the dock space for deliveries and pickups
Manage and track supplies related to dock operations
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Managing residential move in/out and residential deliveries
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the loading docks, waste bins and equipment
Oversee loading and unloading of goods at dock areas while monitoring the flow of goods to ensure timely delivery
Foster a collaborative and safe work environment
Enforce safety regulations and best practices at the loading docks.
Upon arrival of grease trap truck, ensure area is prepared for extraction.
Report any maintenance issues to management promptly
Ensure equipment such as overhead doors, bins, lifts and dollies are in good working order
Address issues or delays in dock operations promptly and professionally.
Regularly required to stand and move; use hands to grasp, squeeze, finger, handle, and feel; reach, push, and pull with hands and arms; twist; reach overhead; stoop, kneel, squat, bend, and crouch.
Be present at the loading dock for the entire shift
Ensure compliance with OSHA (WHMIS or CCOHS in Canada) and facility-specific safety policies
Receive all goods for the residential property management and communicate to commercial tenants when their goods arrive
Perform file triage of certifications and inspections, participate in JHSC
Assist with preparing waste for pick up for both residential and commercial tenants

Strong understanding of loading dock safety and logistics processes.
Regularly required to climb and descend stairs and ladders.
Regularly lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

Exposure to various weather conditions when working with open docks.
Frequently required to sit, talk, and hear.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Exposure to loud noises and heightened levels of dust and dirt
Experience in dock or receiving operations, preferably in a retail environment.
Physical ability to perform tasks associated with loading and unloading (lifting, standing, moving)
Certification in tractor and forklift operation an asset
