A valid driver’s license is required.
Must complete all work in compliances with FRA, MBTA, and Keolis Commuter Services standards.
Must have a strong working knowledge of and familiarity with diesel engines and their major components.
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
Must have the ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints and schematics.
Must be able to communicate successfully with a variety of disciplines and levels, both internal and external staff.
Position requires ability to climb onto rail equipment.
Satisfactory prior work history.
Must be able to travel and work at all Commuter Rail locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island in all weather conditions.
A good level of understanding of the basic equipment functions as they pertain to railroad locomotives is preferred.
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb ladders, talk and listen, lift up to fifty (50) pounds and reach with both hands and both arms.
