Complete equipment pre-shift report - Conduct thorough Workplace Exam, to identify and correct hazards daily
Perform duties to apply shotcrete to the roof and ribs of the mine
General mine labor in production areas, including installing conveyor and advancing ventilation duct, water line, electrical cable, etc.
Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment

Perform bolting and meshing of the roof and ribs.
Must place a high priority on attendance
Report equipment problems and identify them to management.

Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences and increased production demand times

Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties as assigned
Ability to maintain safe working conditions
Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision
Experience in tunneling or mine development considered a plus
Physical ability to squat, bend, and twist, sometimes repetitively.
Ability to safely operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery in a rock quarry including a dozer, roof bolter, front end loader, Haul Truck etc.
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to physically lift 50 lbs.
