Generator Field Services Engineer/Seasonal Field Services Engineer

Field engineer overseeing generator inspections, testing, repairs and crew supervision globally.
Conduct electrical and mechanical specialty testing (low and high voltage) as required; Perform visual inspections, and collaborate with engineering to provide recommendations to the customer about potential unit repairs.
Collaborate with our worldwide engineering staff to perform specialized mechanical and electrical testing; You will serve as the primary customer contact during outages and ensure that repairs are made in a timely and accurate manner
The Generator Field Service Engineer, may supervise technicians working on generator equipment during power plant maintenance shutdowns (outages), both planned and unplanned system outages which can occur due to equipment performance issues, based on experience.
The Seasonal Generator Field Service Engineer works directly with our leading staff of field service engineers to develop skills that include equipment operation, maintenance, job site safety, project management, leadership, and Siemens Energy’s business systems
Prepare and forward accurate reports concerning the condition and repairs and recommendations for customer equipment
Ensures all work is performed per approved processes and procedures while maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality.

You have or are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field required.
Must be able to ascend/descend ladders to examine equipment, including confined spaces, move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds, work in outdoor weather conditions, walk long distances and share cramped office trailer with other employees
Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time. (Typical travel is 200-250 days per year for anywhere from 2-15 weeks at a time; While deployed, expect extended working hours of up to 12-14 hours per day including weekends/holidays, 6 – 7 days per week.)
Working knowledge of large electrical apparatus, including but not limited to, generator inspection, testing, generator rewinds and repairs; This position is 100% REMOTE due to 100% travel is required.
Minimum of 6 mos experience in field service is preferred; Candidates with more experience may be eligible for a more senior level position.
