CAD Designer

Description

• Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings according to project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to ensure designs meet project requirements.
• Prepare and review design plans, layouts, drawings, and blueprints.
• Update and maintain design documentation and records.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Participate in project meetings and provide design‑related input.
• Assist in troubleshooting design issues and suggest improvements.

Requirements

Civil Science is seeking a qualified CAD Designer to join its team in Dickinson, Williston, or Fargo, North Dakota. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other team members to design civil engineering projects such as large‑scale land development, infrastructure, transportation, and municipal utilities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced, self‑directed environment and the position offers potential growth into a larger role within the firm.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other CAD software such as SolidWorks or Revit.
• Minimum of 4 years CAD experience in civil engineering or equivalent educational experience.
• Strong understanding of design principles, engineering fundamentals, and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Eagerness to learn and evolve within a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods, lift up to 20 lb, and perform squatting, bending, and lifting as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and driving‑record checks.
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship evaluated on a case‑by‑case basis.
