The role involves delivering advisory and design services across WSP’s sectors, preparing technical reports, developing hydrogen and decarbonisation solutions, and ensuring projects meet health, safety, quality, schedule and budget expectations.
- Lead advisory and design services for hydrogen projects across WSP sectors.
- Deliver project work at all development stages, from due diligence to detailed design.
- Develop hydrogen and decarbonisation solutions, including demand/supply profiles, funding applications, and roadmaps.
- Produce technical and strategic reports for clients.
- Contribute to feasibility and advisory studies on hydrogen, heating, and decarbonisation.
- Support wider decarbonisation, gas and energy team delivery.
- Collaborate with clients to meet health & safety, quality, schedule and budget targets.
- Prepare process engineering deliverables such as calculations, specifications, datasheets, drawings and simulations.
- Represent WSP through presentations, conferences and thought‑leadership publications.
- Mentor colleagues and pursue continuous professional development.
- Develop proposals, bids and funding applications.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering or science degree, are chartered or progressing towards chartership, and have experience in hydrogen infrastructure, heat, production or industrial decarbonisation, together with strong IT, project management and client‑facing skills.

- Be chartered or significantly progressed toward chartership with a professional body.
- Possess hydrogen sector experience, especially in infrastructure, heat, production or industrial decarbonisation.
- Demonstrate strong IT proficiency and ability to use bespoke engineering/project tools.
- Have project engineering/management experience.
- Exhibit professional client‑facing abilities and excellent written and verbal communication.
